“I am fussy about beauty; It has to come from within.”
– Moreno Pessoa
This photo shows three extraordinary women, all aged 90+, all grand old ladies of Norwegian dance and theatre. I have had the privilege and been fortunate enough to have had all three of them as teachers and mentors in my early years in the theatre.
The beauty and joy they radiate in this picture thrills me. My gratitude for having had their talents and wisdom guide me on my way in life and work, remains unending.
In the picture above, seen from the left are: Edith Roger (dancer, choreographer, theatre director); Jorunn Kirkenaer (dancer, choreographer, teacher); Fernanda Smith (dancer, choreographer, teacher)
The picture was taken at Jorunn’s recent 90th birthday celebrations / Photo: Bebita Halle
